Shameka Parrish-Wright is running for the Jefferson County School Board District 4 seat. Shameka is a parent of 6 children, 3 of whom are JCPS graduates, while the remaining 3 are currently enrolled in JCPS. Shameka is a product of public schools herself and believes a strong public school system is vital to a child's success. Shameka has served on 9 boards in the Louisville Metro area and has spoken at numerous JCPS Board meetings over the years on issues such as school safety, the budget, restorative justice practices, and teacher support, 


STRONG - Shameka believes in strong and innovative programs that will provide students with the education they need to flourish and not fail.

STEADY- Shameka will be a steady advocate for all students, parents, teachers, and staff and will hold stakeholders accountable.

SUPPORTIVE- Shameka will work to ensure the budget supports teachers and staff across the board and will build community within the District.
